Giordano's "Chicago's World Famous Stuffed Pizza" was established in the windy city in 1974. The ever-popular fast-food chain has won the Silver Platter Award from Food Industry News magazine every year for the past 10 years. Chicago is a city where pizza is probably more popular than in most other places. It is a credit indeed therefore that Giordano's holds pride of place for pizza in most people's eyes who have had the privilege of tasting one of these special treats.
At any one of the many Giordano's Italian restaurants in Chicago, where 8 by 10 pictures of the famous who have visited can be seen adorning the walls, you will discover that savoring a stuffed crust pizza is not just an eating experience, it becomes something more akin to a deep spiritual transformation.
It can take up to 30 minutes for your pizza to cook, so don't expect this fast-food experience to be particularly fast. The pizza, when presented at your table, rests on a special wooden platform or pedestal. The pizza really requires a knife and fork for eating; it is not the kind of pizza that you can easily grasp in your hand and eat. And Tamron Hall of Fox Chicago said, " Giordano's Deep Dish is by far the Best In Chicago."
In Chicago there is controversy over who introduced stuffed pizza. As you might expect, there are a number of claims and Giordano's is among them. The general consensus seems to be that if Giordano's was not the one who introduced stuffed pizza, then it should have been, for they have perfected an art that surely can not be bettered by anyone.
