Day One - Chicago Trip

Field Museum of Natural History
One of Chicago's greatest allures is its museums. Start off the day with a visit to the Natural Field Museum of History. The main attraction here is Sue - the most comprehensive T. Rex fossil ever found. For 67 million years, Sue rested nearly fully preserved in a South Dakota bog until its discovery in 1990. Just a glimpse reveals how intimidating these ferocious predators were.
For lunch, head to the mk. Choose from a selection of choice meats and seafood with uniquely bold flavors, and enjoy the diverse crowd that shuffles in for great eats.
Art Institute of Chicago
Afterwards, it's time to further explore the arts. Featuring over 300,000 pieces from the impressionist and post-impressionist era, the Art Institute of Chicago has one of the most extensive collections in the world. Find famous works from Monet, Picasso and a number of other influential artists of the times.
Drinks with a View
Discover an incredible panoramic view of the city at the top the John Hancock Center. All the better if you can get there for the sunset. Then stick around for a couple of frothy beverages at the Signature Room.
For dinner, mosey on over to the ever-extravagant Tru. You'll need to sport your snazziest attire, but sometimes that's what its all about. The focus here is "progressive" French cuisine combined with artistically brilliant perspectives. What does that mean? How about caviar served on a glass staircase. Or dishes served atop a bowl with a live goldfish.
Live Music
Not ready to call it a night? Check out Buddy Guy's Legends for some stellar Blues acts.
