Museum of Science & Industry
Today is the day you finally get to explore the ever-splendorous Museum of Science & Industry. There are a number of interactive exhibits for the kiddies, and adults will be astounded by the amazing realm of science. With over 2,000 exhibits on science, space, the environment, life on earth and all the influential machines that have helped harpoon our knowledge of the world and beyond, the Museum of Science & Industry is truly one of Chicago's most incredible delights.
"Frogs! A Chorus of Colors," the latest exhibit, features oodles of frogs from across the globe. Learn about the fascinating nature of these unique amphibians. Did you know that the brighter the skin color, the more toxic they are? So the next time you're out in the jungle and someone dares you to juggle those bright orange frogs, be respectful because they'll sting you senseless.
For lunch, a great choice is La Petite Folie. This cozy French bistro sets the scene for your next excursion - a cruise on the Chicago River. Of course, this is a seasonal venture, but if you're here from May to October, this is a great way to check out Chicago's incredible architecture. Hop on board a luxurious yacht from the 1920's and see over 50 historic buildings along the way.
Dinner with a View
For dinner, check out Everest, situated on the 40th floor on 1 Financial Place. The view of the city at night is truly magical. On the menu is a rich selection of nouvelle cuisine, along with a vast selection of choice wines. Afterwards, delve into the evening with some stellar Jazz at Andy's.
